Well, since the last time that I posted, a lot has happened. School is officially over and it is summer time. Kaylin got two awards at the end of the year. One award was for honor roll the entire school year and the other was most improved in math, phonics, and writing. We are so proud of her and her amazing accomplishments. She was sad at the awards because she was not going to see her friends and Mrs. Walter (her teacher) every day. Luckily, we are staying in contact with her teacher and friends, so they can see each other over the summer. We actually have already gone to her teachers house and we were invited back anytime. Now you can guess that Kaylin is already asking when we can go back.
The day after school finished, we picked up Kaylin's friend from Alabama, Charisma. She spent an entire week with us and we had a blast. We went to the Outer Banks and played mini golf, went to lunch, went to the beach, and did a little shopping. Then Charisma got to go on her first fire truck ride with Pe Pa, she loved it and had so much fun. Then I took them to Water Country USA in Williamsburg. It was so much fun, especially because the girls could go on pretty much everything, so I was able to go on everything. The day before we brought Charisma to DC, I took them to see the Judy Moody movie. It was a really cute movie. We had a busy week, but it was all worth it.
After we dropped Charisma off, we went to Connecticut with my dad to pick up Poppi's boat. We stayed for about three days and had a good time. We went to the movies with Aunt Eileen, Uncle John, Nanni, and Keli. One night, Keli took me out with her friends to have a couple drinks, it was nice to get out and have a break from everything. Once we got back home, we had a day to chill, then me, Kaylin, and my mom went up to TJ and Nikki's for Ella's pre-kindergarten graduation. It was a really cute graduation and Ella did awesome. I am so proud of my niece, she is such a great little girl.
Now, Ella is home with us for the week. I love having her here, she gives lots of hugs and kisses and Kaylin has someone to play with. Today we went to the Outer Banks and went to the Aquarium and the beach. It was a really fun day. The girls had fun and they are sounds asleep right now. I have posted the pics on my Facebook, but here are a few pictures.
Well, that is about it for now, nothing else is really new. We are missing Pete like crazy, and we wish he was home now. He is doing good and safe, so that is all that matters. I know that Kaylin misses him a lot and wishes he was home. It is hard on her, but she wont show it. She has her moments of misbehaving and I think that it is her way of expressing how she feels. I am going to call it a night, and hope that the girls don't have us up too early. I will post again soon.
